I am a very grateful recovering addict, but that wasn’t always the case. I lived in a hopeless cycle of drug and drink addiction. I was doomed to a life of jails, institutions or death. I remember being in a squat looking up at the ceiling and asking God to help me.

God had great plans for me. God sent people into my life to help me, through the AA and NA. I got recovery and started hearing and feeling God.

I wanted to make more of a commitment to God and to give back something for all He had done for me, so I joined New Hope Church, where I have learned so much about the life of Jesus and met new friends.

Now that I have made a commitment to God it has enriched and changed my life and made me a better person.
